A WORD FROM THE PASTOR - "WHOLEHEARTED WORSHIP"

John 4:23-24
23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." NIV

So here’s my question – how do you worship God with all of your heart?  What does “half-hearted” worship look like?  Does it mean one eye on Jesus and another eye on other things that get our attention/worship?  Does it mean putting God in a box and worshiping Him only on Sunday, because that is the day given to Him?  Maybe it means saying, “Hallelujah” or “I love you Lord” but not really feeling it at the time?  Maybe it is all of the above????????  My quest is to worship God with my whole heart.  Whatever that means that is what I want to do.  I want there to be nothing in between me and my love for God.  I want nothing or no one to have the place of worship reserved for my Lord and Savior.  Not my husband, not my son, not my family nor friends….only Jesus gets that kind of worship from me.  Worship from my whole heart, my whole being, all that I am is reserved to give Him praise.  Why…..because He is just that good.  He died on the cross for me.  He showers me with love, grace, peace and mercy.  He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  He is God over all circumstances and situations and He deserves all of the praise.   Hallelujah to the Almighty, Everlasting, Omniscient, Omnipotent God!  Excuse me, but I feel a shout comin’ on!
