LET US PRAISE HIM!!!

alt

II Chronicles 5:13-14

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one

sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their

voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the

Lord, saying, For He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever: that then the house

was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not

stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the

house of the Lord

These verses in this chapter focus on unity, worship, praise and thanksgiving that is offered by a congregation assembled. It is the praise and thanksgiving of the people that evoke the Lord God to manifest His very presence. In response, the Lord causes His glory to manifest in the place; in so much, “…So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord…”. The priest could no longer stand nor speak because of the manifestation of God's glory. His glory reveals who He Is. What does this say to us? It lets us know that God loves unity, and He inhabits the praises of His people. If you ever want to get Gods attention, all you need to do is praise Him, and give thanks in all things! Praise is the offering of grateful homage in words or songs, as an act of worship. Praise declares that God is God, NO MATTER WHAT!

Make this your declaration: I will praise the LORD for He is good; for His mercy endures for ever; yet will my heart trust in His salvation.

Focus Scripture: Psalm 138:1,2

I will praise You with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing praise unto You. I will worship

toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your loving kindness and for Your truth; for You

have magnified Your Word above Your Name.
